Video from the pressing plant!

The good folks at United Record Pressing in Nashville, TN shot a little video of the Broken Things 7" getting pressed!
Steps 1 & 2: In the first video, you'll see a black vinyl puck being placed and pressed between the printed labels, then the camera moves around so you can see the stampers in action–turning that puck into a playable (at least on one side) record.
Step 3: The pressed record gets a trim.
What does this mean?
It means that next week when pressing is complete, United will ship the records to us in Brooklyn, where we'll introduce them to the finished comic book. From there, we'll start assembling your hundreds of rewards & preorders (thank you), and will begin shipping them out on Monday, December 12!

Okay people! Like you, we cannot wait to get this record in our hot little hands. Here’s where we’re at:
The comics & t-shirts are currently being printed, so the only thing we’re waiting on is… the vinyl.
Here’s the latest word we received from the pressing plant:
"We are still planning to get your orders pressed by December 1, as has been communicated. We have, however, been experiencing issues with our 7” press. We will continue to monitor its performance and will provide an update to you next Wednesday, November 23, on the status of your orders.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. We have been working very hard to get our orders completed as quickly as we can."
We’ll let you know more when we know more, but we’re getting everything ready to be able to turn package up these rewards quick once we receive them!
In the meantime, here’s a look at the final front & back cover art, with a slight color change. The next time you see it, it will be in your hands!

We hope you had a good summer. We’ve been working and… and waiting. Waiting for our turn in the great record pressing queue of 2022. The “estimated targeted turnaround window” we’ve been given is October 20th - December 1st. We’d love to get them on the early part of that window, but we’re not holding our breath–which is why we’ve said from the beginning that these would ship in December.
But we’ll be ready! James & Josh are just making final tweaks to their pages for the comic and then it’s off to the printer. We’ll start screening the t-shirts in October.
If you have yet to fill out your BackerKit survey (we’re still waiting on about 6% of you), now’s the time! Click on this link to retrieve your survey, and feel free to add shirts, records, and what have you.
We’re also about to close up the preorder shop so if you know anyone who’d like to secure a copy of the record & comic, or a shirt, now’s the time!

SURVEYS – Last call for add-ons & other order updates!
The last day to make final updates to your order is Thursday, Aug 4th! After this date, we will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders. You can update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping.
If you fill out your BackerKit survey or pay for shipping after the August 4th order due date, we’ll still receive your information but your shipment may be delayed.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://nakedraygun.backerkit.com
James Romberger has finished his all of his art for the project, and now Josh Bayer is getting in there and doing his thing. Here’s a peek at some of his uncolored originals in-process…
Thank you all again for being so responsive to answering our BackerKit survey—even though it may not seem like much as an individual backer, you have no idea how tremendously helpful this has been for me when trying to keep track of all 685 of you!
